hitch your wagon to a star

the sheer ennui that has been brought about by interminably mundane military life is clearly not healthy. taking ill for seemingly no reason at all should testify to that. or it probably is just looking for a way to escape the insipid camp to be called home for another 18 months. now realise that what originally seemed like a fantastic way to serve the speciously misnomered 'national service' is actually an onerous vicious cycle of chronic sleep deprivation. heck, so tired and head spinning so much now this little diatribe isn't making much sense anymore. will be back when am better.

whao

i want to say that

-making time for everybody is not easy
-i still hate the army and have no sense of patriotism or whatsoever to this nation that i have to defend

when it is dark enough, you can see the stars.

it's not easy taking my problems one at a time when they refuse to get in line.

follow the white rabbit

to add colour to work, the interns have decided to have fun. charlotte was generous enough to treat us to the most exquisite and expensive steak i've ever tried, at lawry's. fun continued on board charlotte's 'boat'(:
here have some peektures
and here's one of the 4 smaller fishing boats on board! (with main fishing boat the White Rabbit Echo in the background)the captain's bridgethe 'living room', with spas cal
and my room!(:the two white rabbits next to each other, as seen in the morning aftertoo lazy to upload the other photos so yea. super awesome ship's got jet skis on board, in addition to the fishing speedboats. imbaaa lah. okay one last photo. here's what we looked like the next morning at work!
yay.

to add some spunk to that colour, the interns went for mambo at zouk on wednesday! till 4am, but we weren't dead the next day. you crash really hard once the adrenaline runs out though. oh ethel and shannon were there too, felt weird. and the worst calamity of all -camera malfunction! we will just have to go back again for photos, especially when they play shit songs that you can't dance to.

okay i've lost the mood to blog lah, quite lethargic. bai

it's good to be young lah

or at least look young, if you aren't actually young.

going for haircuts when you look like a secondary school boy is good, you get student rates even though you're not entitled to them anymore. being able to take public transport everywhere with your younger brother's ez-link card is awesome too, because you can get away with paying student rates even though your own treacherous ez-link card has started extorting the adult rates from you. sure, you get disregarded by that condescending bitch of a sales assistant at ferragamo in favour of some stupid old guy with far less spending power, but hey, i can live with that. somewhat.

but i hate being called 'boy' by the aunties at the coffeeshop. thank god for the char kway teow lady at lau pa sat who always calls me boss.

werkwerk

work has started to get interesting, after getting past the boring early stage. internship's been pretty good, not being made to do menial labour and other secretarial work. at least they're bothering to teach us things and let us tag along when they go to court. i don't feel like i'm wasting my time, as i'm pretty sure i'll feel in ns.

i feel weird.

the best laid plans of mice and men

been working for 2 weeks now. it's interesting, i guess. at least i learn new things. still, life could be a lot better. never imagined post-As would be so boring. the grand post-As to-do list is untouched, and the day of reckoning in tekong looms ever closer. almost everyone has enlisted, and those who aren't are either busy working or just plain boring people. i need to inject some excitement into this life of mine.

oh nos

lookie what happened to teh car after leaving it parked outside an insidious looking construction site for 30 minutes! construction people are paying for repairs, we're now driving a temporary MPV around.

i bet the first thing half of you greedy bastards noticed was that i didn't bother to mosaic the number plate out, and after frantically scribbling it down are now wondering how long more it is before you can buy 4D.

if you win i'm taking half.

'sassiges in a state o chassis'

yay blog.

thompson wanna me to put sassiges.blogspot.com, me wisely decided against it.

everybody is be working now, it be good fun meeting random people at random things. me see steph at the swatch launch party; she is be giving out the gifts at door. then me walks in and is seeing wan ping; her magazine gonna to send her there to cover the event. next night, geraldine -not the bowling one, can't really imagine her working anyway- is be my cashier at borders. it be nice seeing everyone working, like microcosm of future working life.

internship wednesday start, 14th of jan. not too excited. hope people are nice, hope token pay is good.

i realise this is a lazy post; i'm not inspired to write properly.

that is all
